Hear The Children Cryin' - A Song Parody Of Our Voiceless Enslaved Lambs - Enjoy with Troy!

In humbleness, I offer the song parody, 'Hear The Children Cryin'' based on the spiritual, 'Hear the Lambs A Cryin'. Children are the tender lambs of the world. We are asked to hear their voiceless cry and protect these little lives, sheltering them and feeding them with love and kindness. The CPS enslaves and endangers these children s with thistles and hurtful thorns. It is up to us to bring freedom and justice to their world.

The voiceless cry

From the depths of the heart we hear the murmurs of children in unspoken bondage. Helpless and weak are the cries, as the CPS system blankets them in the pain and misery of their stolen innocence. While social workers profit from lies protected by our government, children and families are betrayed as neighbors become informants for big brother daddy government. From the grave children cry for justice and freedom , yet the average Joe and Jill slumber in their apathetic stupor. Babies lives are slaughtered and sold as produce into foster care. Their numb stare becomes a sign of the scars left behind by the CPS.

Little lambs

Children are the lambs we must protect. Feeding sheep is providing more than editable food. Nutrition can be mental, emotional or spiritual. It is in our selfless act of love to protect these little ones that we put that love into action. Wouldn't you want to be protected if you were in danger? Foster children are caught in the briar and thistles of the CPS system. The thorns of injustice pierce deeply leaving life long scars. Protecting these children is only right. We are doing for others in the manner we would want to be treated. And such is the second greatest command..."Do unto others as you would have them do." Luke 6:31.

Oh hear their cry and stand with me
Together we must set them free!

The Thistles of the CPS

These little lambs...these small children are being stolen from the arms of mom and dad. They are being forced in the briar and thistles of life by the hand of our governmental CPS foster care system. Through the system these little ones are experiencing, child abuse, neglect, drugs, apathy, sex, inappropriate language, homelessness, nightmares, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, instability in home life, lack of affection and love, cigarettes, porn, poor physical health, godlessness, forced vaccinations, poor nutrition... The list goes on and on. And all because of our CPS. Their world is suddenly upside down. What they need is their real mom and dad back in their lives to offer them the compass of stability and love so desperately needed.

There are people who are waking from this apathetic stupor and hear the voiceless cry of these little lambs. From their deep sleep they feel the heartfelt need to protect these children from the thistles of the CPS. As one they are coming together to form pro-family groups like @familyprotection. As a team they work to protect, preserve and promote family and children. In a effort to reunite families they remove these thistles from their lives and bring justice where there was none. The folks at @familyprotection are graced with love to make it happen. They believe in doing unto others and feeding the hurt and hungry lamb. @familyprotection brings truth and frees these children, reuniting families and bringing happiness to our world. I would encourage you to support the efforts of them as they bring love and freedom to all.

A personal note

As a youth I was introduced to this song. My mother was a choir director for 30 years in the Methodist church. She acclimated to classical and negro spirituals and performed a more upbeat choral arrangement of this song on several occasions. I also sang in a vocal trio at our church that would often do upbeat spirituals.

Writing the lyrics

Although the original song had three verses, and was based on John 21:15-17, I was led to write six verses and the chorus to better expresses the plight of children enslaved in the foster care system. I hope one day we may hear a seventh verse of real freedom as we reach our goal in breaking the chains of the CPS for ALL children.

It seems we have moved from the negro slave of yesterday to the trafficked child slave of the CPS. History offers us a sad rhyme.

The videos

I offer three recordings to accompany this song parody. The first is an audio of singer, Kenneth Spencer. This 1945 taping offers the rich baritone sound of the negro spiritual of its origins and is well done with emotion from the soul. The second is a video of the group Lost Radio Rounders & Amaal Yehia. This trio offer a fresh interpretation in a country/folk motif. It is nice to listen to and enjoy. The final recording is an audio of Chicago A Cappella 'Bound For Glory'. This also is a refreshing arrangement of the song but with an expressive choir. Which ever one you chose, may the emotion and voiceless cry be heard through the words and music of this song parody.

Now enjoy the song parody and be sure to support @familyprotection.
