.....but I dindu nuffin
Since Mr Welch is currently incarcerated I thought I'd take a moment to proclaim his stated innocence and how it's the system working against people that make them fear them. In a jail house interview Seth Welch said:
"I believe I am being unfairly charged, being made an example of for my very strong faith," Welch said. "Going into the doctor's office these days is just about as dangerous as not going."
In my personal opinion that analogy didn't seem to work out for him as stated but he had stern words for those bringing about the lies against him:
"I would advise you to be careful what you say from here on out. You will answer to the Lord for everything that is said against me," Welch said sternly. "You go ahead and record it, sir."
When read the charges brought against for the starvation death of his 10 month old daughter Welch was stunned, shocked, said there was no obvious signs his daughter was ill, she was skinny but so were his other kids.
"In the Bible, it says that good food is our medicine. We fed her. We were feeding her chicken, potatoes, apples, cheese. We were giving her the good stuff," Welch said. "She died. It's a tragedy. … The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh."
He went on to say that the coroner got it wrong, that the autopsy was conducted lazily and didn't go far enough in it's determination of death. He said it was akin to a murder victim being listed as bleeding to death instead of the real cause of death of having one's throat slit.
"It's like saying a murder victim died from bleeding to death instead of saying they died because they got their throat cut," Welch said. "I believe something else has happened here that caused Mary's body to shut down in such a way."
He said the evidentiary record will exonerate them, it states there were empty baby food jars in the garbage and dirty diapers found in a garbage can that will show she had a history of being fed. He said when authorities came she had on a soiled diaper, you can't have a soiled diaper if you are not being fed.
"Even in the evidentiary record, there are empty baby food containers in the garbage can. There is garbage can with dirty diapers showing she has a history of being fed," he said.
Court documents provided to the press agreed there were soiled diapers in a trash can by the baby's bed, along with a soiled and wet mattress that had a rip in it.
Family court documents obtained by 24 Hour News 8 Thursday agree there were dirty diapers in the trash in Mary's room. They go on to say that her mattress was "wet and soiled" and had a rip in it.
Welch's wife stated that she came home around 10:00 a.m. after work to find the baby dead. She said the last time the baby had eaten was around 2:30 p.m. the day before. Her husband said that the baby fell asleep around 2:30 p.m. and that he would peek through a hole to check on her because he didn't want to wake her.
According to the documents, Fusari returned home from work to discover the baby dead around 10 a.m. Aug. 2. She said the last time her daughter had eaten was 2:30 p.m. the previous day.
Welch, who was tending to Mary while his wife was away, told investigators his daughter went to sleep around 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and did not wake up. He said he checked on her by peeking through a hole in the door but didn't go in her room because he didn't want to wake her.
Welch further stated that in 2014 doctors forged documents against them that said one of his children was found to be exposed to marijuana and child protective services were called.
Children's Protective Services had previously had contact with the family in 2014 when there was evidence their eldest child had been exposed to marijuana. According to the court documents, Welch said he didn't trust doctors and that they had forged documents against him and his eldest child in 2014.
He claimed what went down was just a tragedy, that nothing criminal had happened there.
"There's nothing criminal about what we did. It's a tragedy. It was something that was just out of our hands," he said.
There you have it folks, just another case of a over zealous system making a big concern out of parent(s) who fed their 10 month old baby the good stuff at least once a day and were cautiously considerate not to wake her from her diaper filled, urine soaked and soiled mattress nap. I am sure Mr Welch would love to hear from those who have been victimized by the system, letters of support/advice can be directed to the Kent County Jail in the state of Michigan.
Jail is nothing compared to the greeting he will get when he does stand before GOD! THAT will be an Ass kicking!

howdy again tonight sunlit 7...wow this guy takes the cake and is even blaming God for the babies death! unreal.
You should have seen his wife's interview the next day....I was thinking about a post on that to since she said that being in jail at least the food was good and she got double helpings because she is pregnant. That makes you wonder what he meant by the good stuff he said he was feeding the baby. Did you happen to click on the link and read the whole article where he said:
"God instructed Abraham to bring his child unto the altar. While human sacrifice in such a way is not a part of our religion — that is not what I am trying to communicate; please, I beg of you, do not chop my words. You will face God for it if you do," Welch said. "The lesson is to say that we have to be willing to go that far in our following of Christ. We have to be willing to give it all up, to put everything on the table for him."
I wondered if that was his thoughts walking by peeking in her room....maybe he thought God was taking care of her and if not he'd at least take her....which is what happened.
wow this is so shocking sunlit7! well as many problems as the children agency has at least they are out of that messed up house!
