Young lady | Funding her education |A parent to her siblings | #smilecommunity

Meet Mylen Navarra a strong beautiful lady who play a parent role to her siblings.

Mylen is a 17 Yr-old girl living in one of the remote communities of the Philippines. (Brgy. Plaridel Dagami Leyte, Philippines)

She is the 3rd member of the 7 siblings. She is still young yet braving enough to stand as a parent to her little brothers.

Mylen’s older sister (Vanessa Navara) is i19 Yr-old . Currently under the care of their relatives. She is working as a house-helper so she could finish High School.

Her older brother named Marvin Navara is currently in manila and living in his own life .

Her younger brother next to her is currently adapted and now in grade school.

The rest of her younger siblings are under her care in the place where she is living now together with her mother.

Mylen is in first year high school level but she needed to stop to attend to her own family. Her mother has a mental problem and is not in good condition while her stepfather left them.

Due to her family's current condition, she has to take care of her little siblings and provide them of their needs as much as she can. She has been sacrificing a lot for her self for the sake of her family.

That is her mother, she is not mentally stable but harmless. Mylen does not only attend to her siblings but she also take cake of her mother and help her wash clothes and other household stuff.

Mylen applied then as a housekeeper for couple of months just to earn a little and thought to help provide the needs of her family. But it was not enough and she couldn't attend her family that much so she quit eventually.

Now since they have no source of income and they need a supply everyday for their food, my mother decided to support them.

Out of gratitude, she is now visiting our home time to time to help my mother with some stuff. Although she was not asked to do that but just insisted to help my mom in simple way as a return.

She is indeed a strong lady and she doesn't deserve the life she's has now. But her determination and perseverance inspires others. She inspires me. She is a true lady of good virtues.

Attending high school is not that easy as well as she is living in the area where vehicles has no access. She would need to walk for less than an hour and take a motor bike about half an hour before reaching her school. She would need to do that every school days.

Now I write this article to help her buy her school supplies and other stuff she will be needing for this coming school year (June).

I believe that this effort would help her start somehow and people on this platform might want to participate in simple way.
