There are different types of compost or fertilizers, some can mean a costly investment for the farmer, for this reason, in this post we will explain the steps to make a homemade compost.

This type of compost allows your plants to be stronger, germinate faster, and, in addition, will not damage your floors or affect your crops, by proceeding from a homemade preparation.

Advantages of organic compost

For its preparation only organic matter is needed.
It contributes to the microbial activity of the soil.
It does not need large machines and processes to elaborate.
The soils are favored because they recover their capacity to favor the retention of nutrients and the absorption of water.

Steps to elaborate organic compost

Gather all the material you need to make the compost. These materials are: egg shells, fruit remnants, potato peels, potatoes. You can also put the leaves of some prunings. It is recommended not to add remains of animals, oils, dairy products or pesticides, as it may affect the final product.

Select a place where you can make a hole approximately 50cm deep and in diameter. If you do not have a space to do it, there is the possibility of putting together a box (wood) or putting them in a container with a lid, perfórala and ready.
