Today will like to show you the great things found in oil palm.
The oil palm scientific name is "Elaesis guineensis". Oil palm is a native of west African region - especially Cote d'Ivore, Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone - is a major producer of both palm oil and palm kernel oil.
How to plant an oil palm
Traces lines across the slope and put in your pegs in straight lines leave 7.8 meters between rows and 9 meters between pegs. In this way you can plant 143 palms per hectare.
How long does it take for oil palm to grow
It takes about four years for oil palm to produce fruit suitable for harvest. Each tree will then continue to produce fruit for up to 30 years, at which point they will have grown to around 40 feet tall.

Palm oil produced from the oil palm, is a basic sources of income for many farmers in South East Asia, central and west Africa and central America. It is locally used for cooking oil exported for use in many commercial food and personal care products and is converted into biofuel. Oil palm produces 38% of the worlds vegetable oil out put on 5% of the world's vegetable oil.

• Vitamin A
• Deficiency cancers
• Brain disease
• Treating malaria
• High blood pressure
• Cyanide poisoning
• Cholesterol
