Cultivation of Sabila

in #farms5 years ago
Hello friends Steemians, I will talk about the cultivation of aloe vera, also known as aloe vera, miraculous plant and appreciated around the world for its fabulous properties. This has the scientific name Aloe Barbadensis Miller, belongs to the botanical family of the Liliaceae.

The aloe is grown in a very simple way, through their children, that is, plants that are born around them, which you must take and transplant directly into the ground or in pots. It is important to use these shoots of the plant since when removing it from its surroundings the mother plant will grow with more vigor.

Among the conditions necessary to cultivate aloe vera, you should consider the optimum temperature between 16 and 26ºC., This plant does not thrive in cold places, it is preferably arid climates, if you live in a cold place and want to cultivate it, you must protect it or sow this in greenhouses.

The soil or substrate to grow this plant should be rich in organic matter to provide them with nutrients, if this plant is desired to be planted in a pot you should do it at a depth of 40 cm to allow its roots to develop freely.

This plant may suffer from some pests, among the most common is the red spider and cochineal, which is why it must be under constant monitoring to prevent them from weakening it.

It is said that this plant is constituted with the most basic elements of life, such as essential vitamins and minerals, it also has proteins, polysaccharides, amino acids and enzymes. Hence, many people drink it as a restorative to strengthen health and prolong the years of life, however, if we talk about more properties for health it is known that this plant is used to moisturize and reduce inflammation of the skin, especially in case of Burns. This is also ideal as an antioxidant and is even said to help fight cancer, especially colon cancer.

In addition to all these properties aloe vera possesses endless health benefits, for this reason I invite you to cultivate and perceive the miracles you can do with your heal
