This is why we have to know that the hens also get sick, and we must be prepared. Pepper has been used for many years to prevent diseases in laying hens. It is for this reason that our grandmothers made a peppercorn in chicks fresh from the shell and keep them alive and strong, it may seem that by the proportion of size we can hurt them and it can sting a lot, but it is not like that, They do not notice the itch at all, it's more they eat it as if it were feed.

Then we can say that properties are attributed to it: Digestive of purifying nature and antiparasitic: It is ideal to avoid sandy faeces in birds.

Thermogenic properties:
Due to the alkaloids it contains such as capsaicin (8-methyl-N-vanillil-6-nonenamide, C18H27NO3) and other similar compounds, it stimulates the heat and pain receptors of the epidermis, thus causing a more intense blood supply in the chicks .

Respiratory properties:
When the chicks begin to digest it, they are attributed antiseptic and decongesting properties, help to eliminate congestion of any kind in the respiratory tube of the chicks.
