What are ornamental plants?
Ornamental plants or crops are plants that are grown for other purposes, and not for food( they are mostly NOT eatable or edible).
Ornamental crops are mainly used for decorative purposes in gardens and landscape design projects, as houseplants, for cut flowers and specimen display.
Examples of Ornamental Crops
The following are but a few examples of ornamental crops or plants:

#3. Pampas grass
#4. Sun flower

Importance of Ornamental Crops
Ornamental crops or plants are very important to us in many ways, here are a few of their importance:
#1. For beautification or decoration
#2. For design projects
#3. For fencing
#4. They can be sold to make money.
#5. For specimen display
Note: even though ornamental crops are not used as food, there are some ornamental crops that can be eaten because of their nutritional value and benefits. Below are some ornamental crops that can be used as food.
