STEEM WILL FEED KNUST

KNUST is the abbreviation for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a university located in the Ashanti Region, Ghana, West Africa. I am third year student offering the Doctor of Optometry Program and a steemian for about a month now and i want to make an impact in the world through cryptocurrency.

So in accordance with my previous post "VISUAL IMPAIRMENT AND NUTRITION" I started introducing the people within my immediate Community to Steemit and the enthusiasm with which my friends received the goodnews was amazing. I was of the impression that all is green in lots of lives on campus, however upon reaching out to people with the intention of educating them about STEEMIT I learn alot today from people's lives. The average student on campus survives on 100 Ghana Cedis which is approximately 7STEEM for a whole month, quite unfortunately lots of students survive on way less, most of the students eat once a day, the favorite delicacy been "G)b3"_ a very affordable mixture of gari (grinded cassava), cooked beans and oil which is very affordable costing about 0.10 STEEM.

So when i met people and talked to them about a crypto community that could cater for their financial needs through they sharing their passion with the rest of the community, they were amazed but skeptical at first, some were like that is not possible but upon further dilineation they can to understand and have start processing their registration already.

These people now have high hopes of a better tomorrow where there will be able to have atleast a two square meal and be able to enjoy a better life. A life of no perching, (When we say one is perching, what it simple means is that the person couldn't afford to pay for a hostel accomodation and had to lodge in his or her friends rooms, they live like normands hopping from one friend to another so as not to be a nuisance to one), a life full of inspiration because they get to follow their passion and a life of better academic focus.

Analysing these hopes and dreams from my friends it made me realized further that @steemchurch and @farms goal to feed the world could really impact lives and the world at large if we all help in pushing the dream and helping people to realize the possibility of a bright future.

Incorporation of the #eliminatingblindness project with @farms and @steemchurch will turn lots of lives and around and i intend to see this through. Our very next project if every works out, with the help of @steemchurch and @farms, we intend to start a free food service for students like those that were described above, it may be far fetch or a wild dream but it is on our list, a way of helping students on Campus have better nutrition. It will be like a food shelter for students. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to achieve this dream, because i can say for a fact that although i haven't been on the steemit community for long it has impacted my life already and i really want to see others get impacted the same way.
