Good day steemians, this is the last series of my last post, the fear of a starter. For those that missed last series click below.

This last series shares my experience of how I overcame, enjoy.

One evening I was in my room sleeping when Tola knocked on my door, I opened the door for her and she entered, she asked if I would travel that weekend because that day was Friday, I said no. 'I need your help ' she said, I asked what she wanted me to do for her. She brought out an Ankara material and asked me to please sew for her and that she would need it next day........... omo come see as my jaw dropped.

I pulled myself together and agreed to make a skirt and blouse for her. I went on my knees and prayed for boldness,i made the clothes and it fitted her well but I made a mistake, the base of the skirt was too full but she appreciated it. That was how I was liberated from the fear of making dress for friends o.

Another fear crept in when I couldn't get my desired job after service, I was considering opening my shop, deep within me,i was not very sure of myself so I started inside my room.
The first customer I had was my big sister, I love her patience and word of encouragement, I destroyed some of her materials,i made some good on her. My second customer was my cousin, she love native dresses die, she would bombard me with materials and she would give me duration.

I'm becoming better everyday. There used to be a vacant shop in front of our house, so I considered using it for my business. I opened it but couldn't get a customer for 6months including my mum. I wasn't disappointed,i was doing some online courses, downloading styles and trying them. one of the dress I made for my sister.

Considering my area,its a very rural area and that's another turn off. But I believe I can make it any where be it rural or urban.

Fast forward to now, I can boldly say the business is moving and I don't even have many customers from my area, majority of my customers are coming from far distance from my area.







These are few of my work.

My point is, you will become a slave if you allow fear. Clear your doubts, become better and take that step. Remember, mistakes will lead you to perfection.
