The Fed’s Body Count

Much like Vietnam, we see the Fed applying similar tactics. During that war, the government used body count to spur support from the population. The only problem was it needed the ratio of dead Vietnamese to outweigh those on the U.S. side.

The solution was simple: lower the bar of what a dead Viet-Cong soldier was.

When you could any Vietnamese person, the numbers looked a lot better. It also justified killing anyone, children, women, and other civilians.

The Fed is doing the same thing. By all counts, according to their mandate, they should be tightening. They have achieved full employment along with an inflation rate about 2%. The Fed is operating now from a position of conjecture.

Looking at what Brexit could do to the British economy or what the fake Chinese numbers tell instead of looking at the data that applies to the United States (and their mandate), Powell and crew is creating their own "body count" depending upon who they are trying to appease.
