The Landlord and the Farmhand hunting
The landlord and farmhand went hunting in the woods. The landlord had the rifle and farmhand was only assisting the landlord in the hunt.
They walked a small while through the forest when they saw an elk in distance, in the edge of the woods! Both carefully crouched a bit and the landlord lifted his rifle up...
BANG!
The elk fell dead down on the ground.
"Yes! We did it!",
shouted the farmhand.
"What do you mean 'we'?",
asked the disgruntled landlord.
They approached the dead elk, and the closer they got the clearer it became to them: it was not an elk.
"Oh no, we shot the neighbors prize winning bull!",
shouted the landlord.
"What do you mean 'we'?",
grinned the farmhand.
Later the farmhand was thrown out. He never found another job and starved to death

By the way, what's the fault of farmhand! I don't see any. He just learnt the lesson few minute earlier from the landlord :)
Well the tiny text added in the bottom.. the sad fact is, that especially in the past if someone said something bad at their "superior", they were easily laid off and sent away. Because if you are "low" compared to someone else, you should shut up even if you are right. :)
