Two souls become one (PT. 5)

James had no idea what to do with the number and never realized a simple text would have been good enough. There she was just sitting there gorgeous as ever and bright as the sun. Class went like last time pretty uneventful but during class I kept on finding my eyes drifting towards Erin so lovely sitting there next to him with her hair behind one of her ears.

This was like a dream to him she wanted to get close to him and was sitting there now. At the end of the class they needed to find partners and like was expected all the guys clamored to get to be her partner. James just slipped out of the commotion to go ask the teacher if he could be a solo team. That is when Erin came up behind him
"That hurts a little. I thought you would want to be my partner." She said through puppy dog eyes.
"Oh yeah I just thought. Never mind yeah we can be partners."

Erin was pretty stern and just declaring him his partner made him feel warm inside. Erin and James again spent the whole day together but this time they had no where they needed to go so they just talked and hung out. He could almost say that he felt complete when with her. There was a warmth he had inside him while he spent time with her that replaced the hole in his chest he had for so long.

The sun started getting low and Erin had to go. She turned towards James
"I was waiting for you to ask me out but who knows when that will happen. You and me are going on a date" Erin said with a certain assertiveness as if it was going to happen and not asking James if he wanted to. James' yes came so fast that he could feel the embarrassment and his face turn red.
"Good we can text about the details tonight." she giggles after with her innocent adorable giggle. Before she turned to walk away though she leaned in to James and gave him a kiss on the cheek. James was already red but as it turned out he could get redder. Now in this moment when he felt the heat of his face and the softness of her lips on his cheek time seemed to freeze and the fire in his heart roared to life and color returned to his life.
