Rudeness is a weak person's imitation of strength - a story

Once upon a time there was a little man called Len. Len was a very grumpy man and usually rude and sarcastic to everyone.  Most of the people in town did not like Len very much, and this resulted in Len being all alone without any friends.

This made him an angry person.  He got so used to being with himself, that he hardly ever smiled. The kids on their way to school, did not even dare walk past his house, as they were too scared to step on his grass.

Len was a cryptotrader and made a lot of money online. This made him an even angrier person as he never knew what was going to happen with his money.  All in all, Len was a miserable person.

One day the shop where Len usually bought his groceries could not deliver goods.  He was out of cat food and he urgently had to go to town.  He tried to avoid as many people as possible and did not look where he was going.

As he walked down the aisle with the animal food, he did not see the usual cat food and had to ask for help.  He walked over to a guy unpacking some goods on the shelf, and on his way to ask for help he stumbled across a box that he did not see.   There he lay in the middle of the aisle.  He was totally embarrassed, and he was angry as hell.

He was more upset than ever and cursed at the man unpacking the boxes.  A boy came around the corner and saw him on the floor.  He walked closer to help Len get up, but Len was too angry to accept any help.

"Leave me alone you bastard" he shouted to the little boy.  "I don't need your help.  I am quite capable to get up myself!"

Len was shocked when a little old lady came around the corner to look for her grandson, and saw him trying to help Len off the ground. Len suddenly felt very embarrassed because he was cursing so much, but it did not seem to bother her at all. She just smiled at Len and continued to help her grandson pick up Len.

The guy that left the box in the middle of the aisle hid behind the shelf, and was too afraid to come out because he heard the way that Len was performing and he was scared that Len was going to hit him, but he felt too embarrassed to let an old lady help Len, and it took all his courage to step out and take her place.

Len saw the emotion and fear on the man's face, but he also saw that the old lady was still calm and relaxed. Turns out that the old lady was as deaf as a door-nail, because of old age and did not hear one word that Len said. The old lady just smiled at Len and the man that packed the boxes.

Len did not know if he must be angry or not, because here in the midst of the shop, he realized that there were still kind people out there, and not everyone was out to get him. Len cracked a little smile, and for the first time in years he realized that he just had to accept this situation for what it was, and that he did not have to be rude about it.

From that day onward, Len went to the same shop every month to buy his cat food. Gradually he let himself become part of the world again and he even became friends with the old lady and her grandson.

Great content! 👍🏻

Very nice story @giantbear! Good message in there for all...
AND I'm happy for Len! :)

Reminds me of children stories. It's cute. Also, I never considered rudeness could make someone feel strong. I always thought people were just angry or didn't know or either wanted to be jerks.
