If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.

And the children at the day care shouted so loud as though they were using the vocal projection to move the adults.
It was first day of orientation at the daycare. Parents were invited to join their children to have fun, singing and dancing. Basically, just got yourself moving. And your butt away from the chair.
Glancing around, the children and teachers jumping and 'boinging' around like wild flowers dancing with the strong wind. However, at the other side of the hall there lies a wide array of dry, still, desert. The parents. They were the coolest people on earth. Immovable eventhough the songs were upbeat. Firm. Rooted. Their feet would not move.
I felt I was the only weird one. 'Coz I felt like dancing with the children. Come on, it was "Happy" song by Pharell Williams.
Maybe, just maybe, with tons of pressures and stress responsibilities and commitments, the parents were seriously weighed down. Shoulders slouched. And a few kept watching at their watch. Good thing was, there were smiles on their faces. Nevertheless, still emotionless smiles.
Then suddenly, my head tilted side way in full force. I was back to reality. Only to notice everyone was jumping and dancing happily, including the parents, except me, dozed off on the chair into my own dreamland. I wiped the slight saliva at the corner of my mouth and assumed no one noticed I slept. I lifted up my heavy bottom and legs and started jumping and dancing, joining in the fun.
