She sat at her computer, her glasses reflecting the opened word processor. She wanted to write. She typed the first sentence and then the second and then.. The third seemed so out of place. She needed to start again.

This time, she decided to try a different approach. It was going to be a first person narration. Her character would talk about the weird thing that had happened that morning (in the character's world, of course)

She typed his name, Michael. Her fingers relaxed and her eyes began to write the story. She must have gotten to the screaming part before she realised she hadn't typed anything.

Her back ached. She had the story in her head. She could see the events as they unfolded. If only her thoughts would transform to words.

She tried again but the words would not come. It was a futile attempt. She shut down the computer and went to bed.

How many times have I found myself in such a state, writings paragraph and deleting, having a story in my head that no word can properly tell. It is the bane of writers, this thing you speak of. #bigwaves

Thanks man. I'm glad you can relate. So many think writing is always easy.
