Cold wind was tingling her nostrils for yet another night. She loved the freedom of the skies on those air patrols above the city.
A laser beam flashes on her shoulder making her skin burn like hell.
- What the...?!
- You thought some prison bars would hold me back for ever?

This was an experimentation for a 50-word story contest on the 'superhero' genre. It was my first attempt to write something similar and I can't say I am very pleased by the final result. What do you think?

I think it’s unique in that freedom doesn’t always feel free. She thought she had come to a point of revelation atop the city’s skyline. To her dismay, a recent stranger, who I’m sure she is quite familiar with, re-enters the scene.
Very quick to leave the readers on their seat in only 50 words —

It is ironic indeed, she was reassured but someone else was about to ruin that for her. Someone she thought she had get rid of for good. Well, things don't always go the way we plan them.

ruth δυσκολευομαι να καταλαβω ποιος ειναι ποιος...το διαβασα 2,3 φορες και παλι δεν καταλαβαινω ποιος μιλαει...η ηρωιδα αισθανεται το λειζερ στον ωμο της και λεει 'what the... ' ....ποιος απανταει τελικα???....καποιος παρανομος που ειχε η ιδια φυλακισει???
....δεν ειναι κακη παντως να ξερεις...απλα ισως επειδη ειναι πολυ συντομη να θελει πιο ξεκαθαρους ρολους...μου αρεσε!!
Είναι ακριβώς όπως το καταλαβες! Κι από τον τίτλο σου ρίχνει υπονοούμενο πως κάποιος από το παρελθόν έχει επιστρέψει, άρα και καλά θα γίνει "πανικούλης" μετά τη συνάντηση τους. Θα μπορούσε να είναι η εισαγωγή για μια ταινία (λέμε τώρα).
Πρώτη φορά πιαστηκα με τόσες λίγες λέξεις κ είναι δύσκολο να τις βγάλεις ακριβώς 50 ρε γαμωτο. Ίσως τα επόμενα να μου κάτσουν καλύτερα.
Καλημέρα, όπως το διάβαζα και με την φωτογραφία που έχεις βάλει μου θύμισες τους πιτζαμοήρωες το ξέρεις? :P
