Summer is Cancelled

We were lucky to have pretty warm and sunny weather for the past week or so, but because this is Finland, summer doesn't come in one swoop, it's a process of nice weather and shit weather. It's only early April, and our summer starts usually around late May, or sometimes not before July and lasts for only a week, you'll never know. Last year we were insanely lucky to get something like four months of summer, unheard of really, but this year it might be the complete opposite.

Anyways, today it was raining all morning, them it turned into really wet snow and now a full blown snow storm. The snow came down in huge fluffy clumps that reduced the visibility greatly for a while. It's promised to snow, more or less, for the next two days. The snow had almost melted away completely from the yard in the past warmer weeks, but in a matter of hour, the ground was again covered by pure white snow.

I was going through the Instagram stories from my city and laughing for the despair people had because of the snow, the fools really thought summer was coming already. Even the adults who have seen more than 20 winters already, it's not like summer ever really starts in April, aside from a few warmer days. And here, warm days in the spring is max 10 degrees Celsius in the middle of the day with straight sunlight, no t-shirt weather in a loooong while.
