[Review "Sakalmaze Varketilshi"] The BEST Fish experience I ever had? Probably YES! Here in Georgia, Tbilisi.
I am a massive fan of a good taste, especially one of my most favorite dishes is a good Salmon Fillet.
For a long time, I didn't want to think or even touch any other fish but Salmon. You know why? Probably, because most of my none Salmon fish experiences ended up with a low quality, badly cooked Fishes (despite a very few which were good...most didn't).
This week, we've decided to go and try one of the "secret" local places, where you sit down right beyond a river with a sound of clashing water and a smell of a wild forest... That's a kind of experience you rarely get when you approach a restaurant to grab something to eat.
Lucky, it was just 40 minutes walk away from our airbnb rented room and so we could walk to this place rather than taking a bus or a taxi. The walking experience itself was great and revealed to us some of the local inside streets, cultures and traditional colors. Finally as we've approached the point (based on Google Maps) we couldn't really find this restaurant, well, thats because we had to enter into an inner road, taking us into a small village and there if you are lucky enough, you guess right (based on the incredible smell) that you've to walk down the road in order to find this very unique place.
When we finally arrived we could find a place full of people, no taxi driver or even a tour guide told us about this place, it took us an uncommon event to actually meet one person who lives in Georgia and heard about this place from someone else who is not even a Georgian. So you see, thats really a lucky case. If not that person, we probably would never find out about it.
So, we've arrived....as you already know... and bought what most people coming for to this place... a Fish! Farrel fish straight from the water to our desk, well salted, well done, super juicy, super tasty, every piece you grab out nicely slides from the bones and you get almost a boneless experience from a whole fish.
Well, despites the fact, this was the best fish experience I ever had by all means of taste, this one also costs a price I've never had a chance to pay for a whole, super quality fish experience. This one Farrel fish, super fresh right on your desk, cost us just 4 Gel which is a barely $2 per Fish.
Say no more, I will drop you the geo location so you can easily find it if you ever travel to Georgia, Tbilisi. I can almost assure, you will have one of your life's best experiences when it comes to eating an incredibly amazing fish.
