Those pike are eating machines, aren't they? Nothing is safe from them. I've heard that then can swallow something that is half of their own length.

They're really voracious and they just go for anything. I've heard that as well, even heard that they can go for 3/4ths of their lengths. It's just insane.

This happened in a lake in Scotland; a pike killed itself trying to eat a duck .
