First week of July - fitness goals update.
July has pretty much started how June ended, with temperatures in the 30's. Not ideal for mid-day jogging but no excuses!! It's getting done...
So this week I've got 4 runs done, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. So that's 12 miles done and almost 2 hours of jogging under my belt.
I was hoping to get a 6miler (10km) run done this week but honestly the weather has hampered that.
This weeks runs were:
Im no statistitian but I can see I'm roughly jogging at a pace of 9 minutes 30 seconds per mile. This is no world record pace and about a full minute slower per mile than I was running 2years ago. The heat plays a part but we all know that I'm carrying far too much weight.
My goals for July are still to loose a 1/2 stone (7lb) and to complete a 10km run. I think I'm on target to get this done, but I just need the temperatures to cool down a little.

It didn't feel that way when I was doing the 3.5miles earlier...... I'm sure I'll get there! Its much easier putting the weight on than getting it off.
