Keeping The Motivation While Training

We talk many times about the problems that prevent us from achieving our goals, mainly diet or a poorly focused routine, but there is another important factor that means big difference between changing your physique or not getting any result. And that is motivation.

If you think you can not make progress, chances are you will not get it. You need strong confidence in your ability. You must believe that you are capable of more, and you will achieve it.

The loss of conviction will infect all aspects of your exercise and nutrition program. It will influence the intensity, extinguish the discipline and neglect the nutrition.

The loss of motivation has a domino effect, affecting all aspects of your progress. Do whatever it is in your hand to control your attitude. Eliminate doubts or negative thoughts that can overwhelm you and prevent you from reaching your full potential.

The keys to self-motivation are action, trust and perseverance.

Action

Knowledge is the key; but you have to put the key in the lock, open the door and make it happen. It is easy to talk and talk, but you also have to take inmediate action.

Put your thoughts into action. Actions speak louder than words, and you must act to do the work. So, don't waste your time! You've been waiting for this for years.

Trust

Everyone has a potential, you just have to make it materialize. Go to sleep and you will lose. Try hard and you will get it.

Use this gift so that you can work for yourself. Trust yourself and your abilities. Anything you propose is possible if you want it with enough intensity.

Constancy

Nothing happens overnight. It takes a great strength of will to face an exercise program and change dietary habits, but you will manage to do it. You have to be constant, persistent and patient.

Great things come to those who want them. The changes will happen; just give yourself the opportunity. To help yourself to be constant, make your training program appropriate. Select the time of day that will work best for you.

Choose a gym nearby. The farther you have to travel to go to training, the less chance there is for you to go. Do not make excuses to yourself.

Discipline

We are all creatures of habits. It does not matter how flexible we are. I bet there are some routine elements in your everyday life, a basic structure around which everything else revolves.

We eat, drink and sleep every day. Most of us do a job to make a living, and we enjoy some kind of recreation when possible.

Without a structure, chaos appears. Without rules, there is disorder. To develop a better body, all you have to do is slight adjustments in your daily routine. Then, just adds an extra bit of discipline.

Commit yourself for a work session of at least 30 minutes; Add some healthy seasoning in your diet... it's easy! If I can do it, anyone can.

Evolution

Your body evolves, and you have to change alongside with it. You will become stronger, you will have a better fit and you will be ready to climb into the next level to face new challenges. That is all about progress.

If you are not making progress, go back and take a critical stance on what is holding you back. Isolate the problem and confront it. Do not let yourself get stuck on the road. Keep moving on your way.

Mistakes

We all make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. They always happen, but do not let your mistakes overload you. If you are not blessed with muscular arms and do not grow as fast as you would like, do not throw the towel.

Check your arms training; change the exercises. Maybe you are not using the right stimulus. Try to keep your exercise program and diet as simple as possible. Do not make things more complicated than they have to be.

Some suffer from information overload, and accumulate so much, which in the end turns up confusking. Simple exercises and diet regimens are often more effective than more complex workouts.

If you make a mistake (losing a training session), try in the possible way not to do it again. Recognize your mistakes and learn from them; then, discard them and go back to your training program.

Goals

Nothing is more motivating than experiencing progress. Reaching a goal is a great feeling, a reward for efforts. But to reach it, you must place yourself in the starting line.

Without goals, you will go without direction. To make them a reality, be diligent with your annotations. When you make a weekly record of measures, such as strength, body weight and body fat percentage, write down your progress.

Objective and more accurate measures like these are better than subjective impressions, such as looking in the mirror, where visible changes tend to occur more slowly.

If you want a regular source of motivation, make up your mind and record your short-term goals. Be realistic, take small steps at the beginning, and enjoy controlling your progress.

Finally, one last word. Enjoy to do something regularly, you need to have fun. If you are comfortable with your exercise program, you will not need more motivation.

Do what you can to make your training session a pleasant experience. Join a gym with a cozy atmosphere, train with motivated colleagues, or listen to your favorite music with your headphones.
