Christian Marriage.

The marriage institution was ordained by God as a part of essential purposed of life. It is one of the fundamental and basic sacrament in the Christian church.

“and Adam said this is now bone of my bones, and fresh of my flesh: she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man” (Genesis 2:23).

It is the oldest institution where God himself establish at the beginning of creation, it is also the bedrock of the church. We should approach marriage with dignity as a sacred and divine institution (Hebrew 13:4). For the church is us and not the building itself, so whatever happens to us affected the body of Christ the church. (Ephesians 5).

As Christians, we should all know that by applying biblical theories or rule to our marriage will birth us a solid rock marriage from the beginning even to the end, we should be careful of what we do in marriage because of the unbeliever who watches us because they will always say, "they call themselves Christians."

Husband love your wife is all the Bible says and wife respect your husband. Just as very simple as this but if not followed to the letter, that's where we always got it wrong.

Marriage Is For Mature Adults.

Anyone who want to marry must be matured physically and should have attained the age of accountability, financially, socially, morally and everything in between. The intending couple, especially the man, should be strong enough to provide for a household (1Timothy 5:8). They should mentally and emotionally balance (Titus 1:8).

More importantly, they should have carry out medical test of their gene, blood group and in some cases, HIV test and every other test necessary to be sure they are both ready for the task ahead which is an endless task.

Marriage requires a separation from parents (Mark 10:6-9). It carries a lot of responsibility that childish minded persons cannot bear or withstand (1 Samuel 25:18-25). A good Christian marriage also require the consent and blessing of parents of both parties (Genesis 24:50-51, 59-60).

The Reasons For Marriage

There are various reasons people go into marriages. The first principal reason for Christian marriage is mutual fellowship. Loneliness is not good. It is dangerous, the Lord saw the man needed companionship, hence, the creation of woman (Genesis 2:18 -22, 24).

Secondly, God made us with sexual desire that are good, only and legitimate but must only be satisfy in marriage. This will also eradicate the sinful life of adultery or fornication (1Corrithians 7:2).

Thirdly, to obey the commandment of God, Which is to be fruitful, multiply, propagate the human race and replenish the earth through child bearing and raising Godly children in the fear of God (Genesis 1:28, 9:1, Proverbs 22:6).

Lastly, two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour (Eccl. 4:9-11). One shall become a thousand and two ten thousands. Alone is procrastination and together we take action faster.

Conclusion

Marriage is a Holy Institution and God is the author, he has set the ideas in the Bible. Anyone who fails to apply these will surely have problems with their homes. Let us pray for the success of all Christian marriages worldwide.
