Hello! this story is dedicated to the poppies

In 1915, during the First World War, Canadian military doctor John McCrae wrote a well-known poem on the fields of Flanders, beginning with such lines:
Everywhere poppies burning candles
On the war of the scorched Flanders fields,

In 1915, inspired by these poems, the American scientist Moyna Michael answered with her own poem
Then she came up with the idea of wearing red poppies on Memorial Day in honor of those who died during the war. She was the first who wore them, she sold poppies to employees and friends, and money went to charity. Later, Madame Guerin of France, after visiting the United States, began making artificial poppies and selling them in favor of orphans and widowed women. In 1921 the Franco-American League of Children sold poppies to help orphans in the war in France and Belgium. This tradition has spread to other countries, in particular, Great Britain
