Heart Shaped Flower Arrangement From Start To Finish

We decided to make this flower arrangement with a step by step guide for those who would like to make their own.All products can be bought at your local flower wholesalers.
This arrangement has been made using the following items
30 gauge wire green
18 gauge wire silver
Stapler
German pins
Burlap ribbon
Scissors
Stemtex flower tape

17 inch oasis heart

Ivy

You will need about a mop bucket full of flowers and greenery these are listed individually below

Baby Blue Eucalyptus

Dancin Queen Wax Flower

Cymbidium Rosaline(orchids)

Freesia D Blue Bayou

Blue Star Sea Holly(thistle)

Rose Sweet Surrender(roses)

White Roses

Trickle 2 pints of water evenly over the heart shaped oasis

Take the burlap ribbon and fold into pleats roughly 4 metres worth and staple each pleat at 2-3 cm evenly


Attach the ribbon to the base of the oasis using the german pins

Continue this all the way around the oasis base with the german pins roughly 1 pin every 5 cms
once completed it should look like this

Repeat this process on the inside of the oasis base
Cut the Eucalyptus and Ivy in equal 3cm long strips and evenly poke them into the oasis slightly slanted to give a natural look continue all the way around till you get an even coverage



Group the roses into 3 and insert them into the oasis base
Group the orchids into 2 and insert them next to the roses
Continue this evenly across the entire base

Once happy with the placement or orchids and roses take the freesias and spread them evenly throughout the arrangement then cut the thistle and waxflowers into 4 cm strips and place them evenly covering any gaps that are left in the arrangement
Ensure you gain full coverage so as to avoid seeing any of the oasis base
Use any leftover green to cover any gaps of missing flowers
If any flower stems snap or are to soft to push into the oasis use the gauge wire to run alongside the stem and use the stemtex tape to hold the wire in place

Once completed your end result should look something like this
