Welcome to Flora Friday- A Microscopic Look at Our Petaled Friends!
Yesterday I posted an image of a potted plant that had started to sprout like crazy.
We thought it would be fun to break out the microscope and take a look at our fast growing buddies out in the yard! What do you think?
Let's get tiny!
Shrink Ray activated!
First up:
Pollen!
Bonus flower petal!
Next:
A closed flower bud!
We aren't done yet!
The center of a clover!
Okay.. that's kind of horrifying.
Moving on!
This.. THING!
It's a pretty neat thing! But we have no idea what it is. If you do, drop it in a comment!
And finally:
Tiny flower buds!
Thanks for coming to the first edition of Flora Friday! We hope your interest has grown!
Until next time..
Keep it tiny!
Stay tuned to our page for Microscopic Mondays, drone shenanigans, poetry, 360 VR footage, 3D prints, and the occasional chuckle!

If you hear the word butterflies, then the mind becomes good. What a kind of purity can be reflected in this? The butterfly itself is compared to the butterfly in the color and the picture. What could be more beautiful than in nature? At this moment I do not remember. I have run behind the butterfly in my childhood. And now the butterfly in this Dhaka city can be seen as rare as seeing Halley's comet. How to make butterflies without flowers? Oh,
Hi @sammosk Interesting and fascinating your post.
Species Oxalis tetraphylla. Common name is "Iron Cross",it is also known as "lucky clover", and in a wild or feral state as four-leaf sorrel or, least ambiguously, four-leaved pink-sorrel.
It has leaves divided into four and has been called "lucky leaf" and even "four-leaf clover", but it is not a true clover, it´s commonly used as an ornamental plant. It´s also edible, the flowers and leaves having a sharp lemon flavor. However, since the oxalic acid in the plant can interfere with the absorption of certain nutrients in the body, especially calcium, too much can be harmful.
Have a nice Friday.
A hug
All those photos are amazing, amazing, I loved them, the whole concept of those photos is beautiful.
great job with that macro lens
Thanks for the clear photos of that unique flower,
I think they are some spotings nature is adding to beautify the flower.

Beautiful flowers! Although we don't plant flowers per say, we do a lot of tree planting over in Lobitos, Peru. Always a big fan though of more green spaces! Keep up the great work :)
We're actually very new to the SteemIt community -- we are an environmental sustainability organization. We're looking forward to engaging more with the #nature community on here. Do you have any tips us? Cheers!
