#followfriday - Steemies you have to follow
I've had a fairly relaxing week this week with a chance to sit down and catch up with some of my favourite Steem good cause and find a few great new ones so this week will again be dedicated to those amazing people who dedicate themselves to helping others
So we start with my favourite and one that's close to my heart and who I have featured before but who is running a brilliant new community-led initiative.
@creativestreet run art and craft workshops for street kids and kids from underprivileged backgrounds in Manila and they have just put a shout out to the art community to donate signed line art to use in a colouring book they can use on their projects and hopefully also sell to raise funds. The amazing and talented @aalagenesis is the lady behind this so please, I implore you to pop over to their post; Call for Line Artists for Creative Street's Coloring Book Fund Raising and give them a resteem, follow and upvote.
@ecodesigns are a Cameroons based group; "A textile recycling and fashion designing hub of The Greens that is educating and empowering young girls in textile recycling and fashion designing." I just found this page recently and love what they're both creating and achieving.
You can read about their staggering achievements in this post, simply entitled ecoDesign's 2018 Achievements. No idea who is behind this group but absolute respect to them, and while we're in Cameroon........
@treeplanter raise funds through an ethical bid-bot as well as delegations and donations to re-plant trees in the Abongphen highland forest in Cameroon. Obviously I am a bit slow as they have been doing this since June 2017! Totally transparent, they provide daily reports on the funds raised and convert that into trees replanted to make it totally equateable. Have a read of their daily report from yesterday to see what they're up to and how trees they raised money to plant.
I wish there were many more charities and organisations represented on and using Steem to help others in less fortunate parts of the world. I'm personally embarrassed by the size of the upvote these groups get on their posts compared to a lot of the drivel (my own drivel included) posted here.
Of course, people have a fundamental right to do what they want with their Steem and if they want to be selfish uncharitable pieces of shit then pieces of shit they have a right to be!

You might be interested in looking at the charities supported by @adollaraday and/or supporting them or recommending these charities for support (@ecodesigns might already be supported).
I have to be honest, his list of benefactors is where I've pulled these from. I used to follow most on that list but for mainly personal reasons, some I won't subscribe to and one of them I find to be slightly 'off'. There are suprisingly few causes and charities using Steem as a way to raise funds and awareness which is an absolute shame as I think its a perfect medium. I think @adollaraday is having a temporary break and regroup too but 5K USD in a year is pretty impressive!!
