Hoi An Ancient Town: The Food (Part 2)

Hope you have a great day today. As wrote in my early article about the Signatures of Hoi An, here is part 2: The Food
Are you hungry? Let's come to Hoi An!
Surprisingly, even though being well-known for traditional food, Hoi An also has a coastline, which lets you enjoy fresh seafood also.
First, let have a look at traditional food: Cao Lầu
Cao Lầu is a traditional noodle, which you will have together with a bowl of soup. The noodle cooked with pork, eggs and sometimes, shrimps. The Cao Lầu is very popular among the central of Vietnam, such as Danang City, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Hoi An. The taste is creamy and delicious. You can feel the crispy of traditional cake along with the feeling of shrimps.
Then, if you are not a big fan of noodle, let's try Chicken Rice
The chicken rice is also a very famous food in Hoi An Ancient Town. The chicken is boiled to medium level, and used with herbs. Furthermore, we usually use the chicken fat and other herbs to cook the rice (that's why we have yellow rice). But do not worry, the rice doesn't feel any fat at all.
For an average person, a portion can be little, but it's good for a mid-day snack.
Then, let's move to closer to the sea and enjoy seafood
In Hoi An, you can have seafood in around the border of the town, which is next to the sea.
Here is some food I took last time:
Shrimp with tangarine
Grilled cuttle-fish
OMG, the cuttle-fish is fresh, and with a little salt, makes the perfect dish for dinner!
