The breadfruit belongs to a group of vegetables. This comes from a flowering tree called "Artocarpus Altillis". The breadfruit is a member of the mulberry family and is therefore often called a mulberry tree. The birthplace of this nutritious vegetable is the Western Pacific Islands and the Malay Peninsula. The outside of the breadfruit is green and the inside is yellow.
