Ulog #167: Cream of Asparagus Soup with Toasted bread
Last week me and the family went for a day trip to Genting Highlands to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday. It was a good and fun trip with the family and kids especially as everyone had a really fun time there and with each other's company.
Our first stop was at for a buffet lunch at a place called Coffee Terrace. They had lotsa stuff but this post will be about the asparagus soup!
It was creamy and delicious like any other cream base soup you'd expect and the flavor of the asparagus was superb. I think it's a store bought pre-mix though and not a soup made from scratch as it tasted like the pre-mix one. It was delicious though and thus why I think it should be mentioned.
It also came with a variety of bread and rolls to dip into your soup. They also served butter so you could butter your bread to make it even more delectable and yummy.
All in all the meal there was good and we had a good time with each other to celebrate my mum's birthday.
Definitely recommend this buffet for those on a budget. It's around RM40 which is about 10 USD. Not too pricey but although if you have really high standards for a buffet, you might wanna go for their dinner buffet instead of lunch as the lunch one doesn't have some selections such as Japanese food.
Dinner meal there would be around RM70+ though so the lunch deal is a catch. I definitely would go there again if ever we had a chance to :)
