PORK IN SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE

      Chinese cuisine knows a number of possibilities to prepare pork. This recipe is nice for European palates, but it does not stop being authentically Oriental.

Ingredients


  • 500 gr. of pork.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
  • 1 glass of plum liqueur

To wrap:

  • 70 gr of wheat flour or cornstarch.
  • 1 teaspoon of oil.
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  • 1 egg

For the sauce:

  • 1 onion.
  • 1 pepper or paprika
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 tablespoons of corn oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
  • 2 cups of sweet and sour sauce (bought or made at home)

Preparation


🍴 First step: Cut the pork into small pieces, sprinkle with salt, soy sauce and plum liqueur, then let it season for 1 hour.

🍴 Second step: Make a dough to wrap with the egg, sugar, oil, and flour. Beat or stir all those ingredients, and then let stand for 30 minutes.

🍴 Third step: For the sauce the onions, the pepper and the carrot are cut into squares or not so small pieces. Then we put them in a skip with 1 tablespoon of oil and honey over low heat, without letting them toast. When melting the honey in the broth, add the soy sauce and the lemon juice. Cook for 10 minutes.

🍴 Step four: Pass the meat already seasoned and resting by the dough to wrap already made. Then we go to fry it in hot oil until golden brown. Then we mix it with the sauce already done and ready. To enjoy those excellent pieces of pigs in sweet and sour sauce.

Note: We can accompany it with a rice.
