5 healthy reasons to drink Kombucha

A tea mushroom or Kombucha is a friendly symbiosis of acetic sticks and yeast fungi. It appeared in our region in the last century, and for the first time, it was cultivated in the countries of Asia. 


Here, we would like to discuss 5 reasons why you should start to drink Kombucha:

Reason 1: Kombucha - the best substitute for soda

Normally, shop soda contains a ton of sugar, preservatives and dyes. Home kombucha will be a good alternative to harmful purchased beverages. The basic infusion of the tea-mushroom itself has a pleasant refreshing taste that can be added with fruits, berries and spices. Gassing is formed in a  drink due to natural fermentation will not cause bloating and other troubles unlike artificially carbonated beverages. In addition it has much less sugar than other beverages. 


Reason 2: It helps to detox your body

Antioxidants from tea, vitamins, micronutrients and especially acids, which are formed in the finished infusion, support the detoxification process and normal functioning of your body. Add fresh berries, fruits and juices to the drink in order to make it more nutritious and rich of phytonutrients and natural substances.


Reason 3: Improves digestion

Kombucha contains lots of probiotics, enzymes and useful acids.  It has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract activity, normalizes the acidity of the stomach, heals the intestinal microflora. It is especially useful during the summer in the period of intestinal infections. Add mint and lemon to your drink. It will additionally stimulate the secretion of gastric juice and digestion.


Reason 4: Kombucha strengthens the immune system

It maintains a healthy intestinal microflora, the composition of which determines the immune response of the organism by 80%. Try Kombucha with the root of ginger or turmeric: it helps to increase the metabolism and has an anti-inflammatory effect.


Reason 5: It helps to lose weight

A study conducted in 2005 indicates that Kombucha improves metabolism and reduces fat. Of course, in order to make certain conclusions, more research needs to be conducted in this area. However, the tea-mushroom has such a good taste and rich composition that even after a one of glass you won't  feel hungry for a long time.
