Choose your dip, I have your flat bread
Hey Steemian,
On my birthday, I received a book as a gift Hummus Bro. Includes a lot of recipes with hummus and it has one for flat bread.
I tried it and loved it! I can't baking and cooking it! I'll get fat very soon with all these carbs!
Ingredients:
2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
225 ml warm water
500 g all purpose flour (plus additional as needed)
2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for bowl and pan
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons honey
za'tar
2 teaspoons sesame
Using your mixer, combine the yeast, water, the flour and honey together. Mix everything until thoroughly combined. Let it sit and rise for 20 minutes. This creates a quick sponge.
Add the oil, salt to it.. Knead on low with your dough hook until a dough forms. If the dough seems very stick, add some flour. Knead for about 6 minutes more.
Let it rest for 30 minutes covered with cling film.
Roll the dough into a ball, then allow it to rise for about another 30 minutes. Flatten out each ball (you\ll have 2 or 3) until it is about 5 - 6 inches in diameter and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes.
Sprinkle za'tar and sesame.
Bake at 200C for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Enjoy it,
