LEARN TO PREPARE PONCHE CREAM OF AUYAMA

Hello my dear friends of Steemit. Today I want to share with you a simple recipe to prepare a rich "Auyama Cream Punch". In Venezuela it is very used for holiday celebrations but I particularly like to prepare it for any special occasion. As the main ingredient we will use the "Auyama or Pumpkin".

The Auyama is characterized by having a color between green and intense orange and has soft seeds. For its cultivation, warm and humid lands are required. Its taste is tasteless, but with a slight sweet touch. The pumpkin is also known as pumpkin, zucchini or zapollita, depending on its size. This type of fruit in general defines genera and except Lagenaria, which is still under discussion how it arrived in warm and temperate regions of the entire planet, the others have a somewhat more restricted distribution. None is found in cold regions. They are composed of amino acids, vitamins A, C and B complex and minerals.

Although the auyama is commonly used as a vegetable to make soups, or to eat parboiled as a companion to any protein, it is also widely used in confectionery for the preparation of sweets, cakes and even ice cream. Many people imagine that many desserts and drinks are made from pumpkin, they have some misgivings but after they dare to try it they are delighted with its delicious flavor.


Next I will show you this rich recipe:


Ingredients:
• 1 kg of pumpkin
• 1 liter of milk (use milk powder).
• 1 can of condensed milk of the brand of your choice.
• 3 tablespoons of vanilla.
• ½ cup of sugar.
• 1 liter of rum of your choice.


Preparation process:

  1. The auyama is chopped into small pieces without peeling.
  2. The milk is added in a pot and placed on the fire.
  3. The small pieces of pumpkin are added inside the milk until it is sancoche, that is to say until the auyama achieves a soft consistency.
  4. It is left to rest until cooled down a bit.
  5. Then it is added to the blender until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
  6. Later it sneaks to remove the remains of a shell of auyama.
  7. Add this mixture to the blender and add the condensed milk, vanilla and sugar.
  8. Continue liquefying until gradually adding rum.
  9. To preserve the drink, it must be added in previously sterilized bottles.
  10. And it is ready to serve very cold.
