Being with my friends is a day of fun and enjoynment

It's not about how we use time for fun but it's all about how we execute every moment passed up with time

Hello my beloved steemers! How's your day going? Are you doing great as you share every moment here in Steemit community? Well I am very thankful for this thy gift wherein I had given a chance to endulge in this platform and be able to share my insites and also the important events in my life. So talking about sharing, I just want to have this moment of mine to share the memorable day we had together with my friends.

Due to barangay elections, this day is considered as a holiday so we have no work. After voting we planned to have ourselves in my girlfriends abode for the reason that we don't want to be emptied at our designated home. One of my friends suggested to have a foodtrip and he'll also bring bananas from their Province of Car-Car, Cebu. We then push our way to my girlfriends abode and started to gather at 1:00 p.m.

It is a very hot and melting afternoon and the sun is brightly shinning. We took advantage of this awesome day to have our food trip with friends.

As I arrive in the place, since I am the last one to arrive, we then started to plan what to cook. The bananas were not yet ripe so I suggested to make banana chips. Without hesitation they affirmed what I have requested. We then started to make our home-made banana chip.

Process of Making a Banana Chips

Before I share to you the procedures on how to make banana chips, let's have first the materials needed to make our desired product:

  • Chopping Board
  • Knife
  • Plate
  • Microwave Oven
  • Microwavable Dish
  • Fresh Oil

Procedures

1.) The first and foremost step to do in making banana chips is to strip the skin or cover of the bananas. In stripping, cut first the edges of the banana fruit to make an easier way of getting off its cover.
Note: Be careful in using knives.

To make it more ligible, I have this video for you to visualize properly the step 1.

2.) After stripping all the bananas, clean it by washing with the flowing water. Then if you find it clean already, start slicing the bananas into circular form. Don't make it too thick to have it dry quickly after slicing.

3.) After we finish in slicing the bananas, we then dried it using microwave oven. Why microwave oven? For the very reason that if we airdry it, it'll surely take a whole day and that is not convient for us. But if you have a whole day to dry the bananas then just put it outside and face it in the sun.

The video shows the proper heating time of the bananas.

4.) After 1 minute of heating, we removed the microwavable dish in the oven and joggle the sliced bananas so that it will be even after the next heating. Actually 1 minute is not enough for it to dry so after shaking it by fork, we immeditely heated it again for another minute so on and so forth.

This is the video after heating the banana chips.

As you can see in the picture, the colors and appearance of the sliced bananas became different compared to the image when it was not yet dried. The colors of the center of the sliced bananas become yellowish and it seems to be dried already.

5.) Since we were done drying the sliced bananas, we then immediately toasted it. Instead of using a toaster, we just used frying pan for toasting because it can also toast the sliced bananas.

We put edible oil in the pan and waited until the oil became hot. We then carefully put the sliced banana in the pan and waited for the moment for it to become brownish in color. It is the sign that the sliced bananas were cooked already.

The video shows the proper toasting of the sliced bananas.

Few minutes after, it was already cooked. I then get it using the strainer and wait until there will be no more oil in the banana chips. Then fry again the sliced bananas left.

Output of our banana chips

Note: You can add sugar in your banana chips if you want to sweetened its taste.

I would like to show this another video I created which is the combination of all the video process a made in making our home-made banana chips

We were so very happy celebrating the holiday. Specially me wherein it was the first time I make banana chips all through my whole life. I thought we cannot make it but through our cooperation we did it successfully. We then made fun eating and telling stories about our selves.

Thank you for giving time reading my article. It is my gratitude to share what I learned to all of you. Feel free to put comments and recommendation on what can you say on my banana chips making. Have a nice day everyone.
