MASAREALS FILIPINO DELICACY
Today, through special machines, masareal can now be eaten and enjoyed in different shapes and sizes, and not just the usual rectangular bars wrapped in white paper. It is a popular Cebuano delicacy that originated in Mandaue City. It is usually served in a form of rectangular bars grouped together packed in white paper. A sweet native delicacy of Mandaue City, masareal is a favorite pasulabong treat in Cebu.
The masareal is a Cebuano delicacy made of finely-ground peanut, water and sugar. Some masareal makers also have their own secret ingredient to add to the already delicious taste of the treat. Another delicacy known to have originated from Mandaue is the sweet masareal. The mouth-watering treat is made of crushed peanuts.
When my Father Go to Cebu City he always bring Masereal and Piyaya For Pasalubong. He bring this cause he know that we love to eat this and specialy my Younger brother and sister really Like to eat this.
