Korean Food Photos

In the greater part of Philadelphia, PA there is a town called Elkins Park with a Korean restaurant named Dubu. Dubu literally translates out in Korean to mean Tofu. Although Dubu has a little bit of everything, they specialize in a Korean dish called Soondubu jjigae, which is a spicy tofu soup that can have a variety of ingredients in it. Whenever we go shopping for Korean groceries, we always stop by here to enjoy lunch or dinner. Here are some photos from today!

Variety of banchan that Dubu serves for lunch. Notice the raw egg. It's meant to be cracked into the boiling soondubu jjigae as soon as it arrives so it can cook

Haemul pajeon - Korean seafood pancake

Rice cooked in a stone pot - it's the best way and tastes amazing

Today PY2 got a oyster soondubu jjigae. See the white wispy material in the center? That's egg white from the cooking egg.
