Pesto from green basil: Recipe

Ideal summer sauce, which is great for pasta and pizza. But you can just smear it on a sandwich. Pesto from green basil is easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

• 100 g of green basil leaves;
• 3 cloves garlic;
• 50 g of Parmesan;
• 30 g of pine nuts;
• ½ cup olive oil;
• ¼ cup of lemon juice;
• salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Preparation

Rinse and dry on a paper towel basil. Fry nuts in a dry frying pan, grate the cheese on a fine grater, and peel the garlic. Put all these ingredients in a blender and grind it well.

Combine the olive oil and lemon juice. The latter will preserve the bright green color of the sauce and give it an appetizing sourness. Pour butter and juice into the basil portions. After each time, turn on the blender for 1-2 minutes. At the end, add salt and pepper and mix well again.

Transfer the pesto into a glass jar. Keep in the fridge for up to a week.
