Peulot and Coffee

Well, this time I want to say a glimpse of peulot, which is probably among us who do not know some interesting things disebalik this cake.

Peulot, there is also a mention as payeh, is one of the food (cake) typical of the Malay people, especially the people of Aceh which is a Malay family.

This cake is made from sticky rice and coconut milk, coated by banana leaf buds. Peulot is usually made by steaming first, then in the dressing or wrapped with banana leaves, then he was burned on several layers of zinc.

Apart from the above materials, usually making peulot plus a little salt, sugar, vanilla and pandan leaves. The addition aims to add aramo and a delicious flavor.

Peulot is often found in traditional coffee shops in Aceh. As for how to enjoy it; can be directly fed without any other snacks, and there are also served with other foods.

For example, for the lovers of durian, they often eat durian with peulot treated, so that many peulot sellers who sell merchandise in addition to the seller durian. So also with lovers of sugar cane, coconut water and others.
