milk bean - Breakfast in San Francisco with my boys

Milk bean is a small, cute cafe on the edge of the Tenderloin or they would probably say Lower Nob Hill. The interior is cleanly laid out and modern. A little artsy.

We each had a bagel sandwich. Egg, cheddar and bacon. Sandwiches were good but nothing special. I think their pastries and lunch sandwiches would be better. I did have an almond scone that was very good. Plus we didn't try their coffee. There is a bus stop right outside and this is a place for quality coffee and a quick yummy homemade bite.

We always arrive at 8am on Sunday mornings and they were just opening up.

Here are a couple of street views. One down Post Street and the other down Hyde Street where we parked which was right around the corner. There are some homeless people on the streets but its not too bad. Its a transition part of the neighborhoods - a block or two either way and you can be in the heart of the Tenderloin or on the affluent Nob Hill.
