Lobster burger in Hong Kong, China

Take a look at the lobster burger and the lobster lettuce taco we had in Hong Kong, China!

We’re in Hong Kong, China, and walked around the very busy Central district. We saw this restaurant that specializes in lobster dishes called Lobster Central. After seeing the decent reviews online, we went in for a sumptuous lunch. Under the watchful eye of the staff, we ordered the internet-recommended surf&turf burger and the lettuce tacos along with a side dish of sweet potato fries and the lobster bisque.

The lettuce tacos came first with the soup. Believe me, the dish tastes a whole lot better than it looks. It was composed of three pieces of lettuce with lobster, crab and prawns salads in them. The crab one was sublime with a overflow of crab flavour with each bite. The lobster one was decent, but clearly the flavour was not as pronounced as the crab one. The prawn one was unfortunately the most mediocre as the prawns were bland to the point that rest of the salad overpowered its taste. The soup was very creamy and with lobster taste. Not amazing but worth it.

Then came the most anticipated suf&turf burger, so called because it had lobster and beef. You can see the burger had a lobster at the top, a slice of cheese and a thick beef patty. These proportions also meant that, as we feared when the server put down the burger, the lobster was completely overwhelmed by the beef let alone the cheese. I experimented by taking a bite that had no lobster and it tasted the same as with the lobster.

The whole meal was a bit pricey but it was quite decent. I think if we went again we would try the lobster roll instead of the burger. We might try some of the other appetizers as well!
