You might have noticed the dish I had prepared in my previous post was Osechi, Japanese New Year food. A few days after my party, my friend invited me back to her version of Osechi dinner, and this time she did it in the proper traditional Japanese way. I cannot believe this was done in Germany! It all looked very authentic. I especially liked the fact that she sprinkled those gold powder on to every single thing. Not to mention the お屠蘇 (otoso), festive Sake.. !
After this golden Sake, I have an optimistic feeling about the upcoming year. Hope it's a special one to remember.. : )
