You'll love this if you have a sweet tooth

I learned the recipe for these traditional dumplings filled with walnuts and ricotta from my grandma.

Apart from ricotta and walnuts, filling is made out of raisins soaked in rum, lemon zest, a splash of milk and sugar.

The dough is very simple, made of only flour, boiled water and a pinch of salt. It's good to mix in some strong flour to avoid gluey texture.

After filling the circle of dough we fold the edges to make a pocket and press it together to have a ridge on top. Then we make a tiny hole in the middle.

We cook them in boiled water. They're done when they raise to the water surface. In a separate pan we heat up some butter and we add some breadcrumbs to it. When it turns golden we pour it over cooked struklji and sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top.
