'Bella-Candy' Or 'Jaggery Candy'!!
Hi my dear Friends.... Here I am with a healthy and tasty candy made using jaggery!
In our regional language Kannada the meaning of the word Bella =Jaggery...
Here we get this candy at an Ice Cream parlor called - 'Ideals'. But we can also make it easily at home!...
In Mangalore this 'Ideals' ice-cream is much famous for its superior quality and great taste! I have heard that they are even exporting the ice-cream to other countries. Anybody who comes to Mangalore for a visit, never skips a chance to taste this yummy ice-cream from Ideals!!....
They are famous not only for their so many varieties of ice-creams, but also for the different types of Candies they make, which are equally good in quality and taste!!
This is one such Candy made by them using jaggery!
From its taste I can make out that they have used coconut along with jaggery while making this, as we get tiny pieces of grated Coconut at the time of eating!! :)
So if you want to try this at home, here is the recipe.. Wait.... Let me have a bite first and then explain... 😜
Grind a cup of grated Coconut using a mixer (do not drain), add some water, Jaggery and Cardamom powder and pour into desired candy or cone shaped molds. Deep freeze for an hour!!
Your yummy mouth watering 'Jaggery Candy' is ready to eat!!
But as we get this for INR 10, I preferred buying.....

Good and healthy , but it's for me a new things i jaggery candy. Mostly in the winter season after the dieener liking eating jaggery.
Bella likes to play in the mouth and can make eating people addicted.😂

And actually there are 3 big parlors in Mangalore by this Ideals group and the one near our home, by name 'Pabbas' is very famous!! :)

Yes Sir... 'Ideals' is a local brand but it is very tasty compared to the other well-known brands. They have a very big dairy of their own. They are even exporting icecreams to UK. You can see this 'Ideals' or 'Pabbas' in Google... :)
And.... If you come to Mangalore anytime, I will be getting you a Icecream Treat Ok?
