A Taste of Japan : Kushiyaki Chikuzenya

Foreign restaurants have become a huge competition in business industry. Because of social media, looking for a dish of your cravings is a lot easier, no matter what type of dish are they. Are you fan of Japanese foods? I have been to different Japanese restaurants in Cebu, most of the restaurants however make a dish that somehow relies on a Filipino's palate. Some are not authentic. There are only few Japanese restaurants which served an authentic Japanese dish. One of these is Kushiyaki Chikuzenya.

The restaurant offers a warm and peaceful dining, unlike other restaurants, they value the customer's privacy. I noticed that most of the clients were Japanese, and they were really behaved and quiet.

Upon entering, a lady with escort you to your table and the chefs and other staffs will greet you in a Japanese language. You can choose which part of the restaurant you'd like to dine. There are private tables, usual tables and a semi-private room.

The Menu

They have various choices of foods, from meats to sushi, sashimi, noodles and many more. This would be heaven for Japanese food lovers.

We ordered dishes of different types. My favorite Japanese food of all time is sushi and tempura.

BUTA BARA NABE (hot pork belly and cabbage and noodles)

_{The noodles are usually served once the meat is consumed. This is the tastiest among the other dishes. The meat is tender. The soup is very savory. This might be pricey but it fills your stomach enough. One serving good for 2-3 people.}

KUSHIYAKI GOSHU MORI (5 kinds of assorted yakitori/barbacue)

TORI KARAAGE (Japanese style fried chicken)

CALIFORNIA MAKI (mango, crab stick and cucumber roll)

RICE TEA : free !!

The Whole Set

Overall, it was a fine experience. If you are the type of person who loves to explore foods then I recommend this restaurant. The foods and services are exemplary.
