CAS Receive Chelsea Transfer Ban Appeal Against FIFA

It is no longer news concerning Chelsea’s transfer ban issues that has been going on for some time now. As we all know, Chelsea attempts to get the situation resolved have been rejected on several occasions already by FIFA, which has resulted to the Blues to consider the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) option as the only hope to resolving the ongoing issue for them, so as to allow them do business in the upcoming transfer window and possibly get the ban waved.

According to the reports that came out earlier, it was said that Chelsea’s appeal against FIFA has been confirmed and received by CAS. The appeal was delayed due to Chelsea waiting for FIFA to release the written reasons from FIFA for why their appeal was rejected, so as to allow the Blues go to the CAS, which has now been reported to be done.

The CAS as some might know has and reserves the right to freeze the ban if they want to and can if they look at the situation and feel that a freeze is the best option while the investigation is carried out. However, even though Chelsea can still sign players if they wish even if the transfer ban is being served, but they are not allowed to register any of those players during the ban period.

From the look of things, it looks like there are some section of the Chelsea fans that actually want Chelsea to serve the ban this window and get over it as quickly as possible, while some section still believe that it is best for the club to do everything possible to get the ban frozen, so as to enable them to purchase the right players for next season. Nevertheless, it is up to the club to make the decision that is best. Whether they try to get the ban frozen or they decide to serve the ban and make do with their vast number of youth talents available, the choice is for them to make and in the coming days or weeks, it will be more clear which choice Chelsea makes concerning the situation.
