The Most Racist Football Fans

Racism in football is something that is trying to be eradicated from the game. Many fans use football matches as a way of showing their political ideology. Football has changed a lot since it started, it's a lot more political now with Ultras being part of political parties in the country where the team are from. In this steem post I will be listing a few of the most racist fans in football:

Beitar Jerusalem FC's far right fans are known as 'La Familia' and defend a 'forever pure' philosophy of the club players, it's a banner that the ultra fans have in the east stand, the message they are trying to put through is free of Arabs as they are in conflict with Palestine that are Arabs. The club had never signed an Arab player, not until the 2013-2014 season when they signed two Muslim players, Zaur Sadayev and Dzhabrail Kadiyev, this made 'La Familia' mad as in the first training session they were chanting racial chants such as "Fuck you, Kadiyev" or "Sadayev, go to the Al-Aqsa mosque, what the hell, we have Arabs in our team" but they are contradicting themselves as they are not Arabs, they are Chechen.

On the first match of that season Sadayev(right) scores, they cheered at first but then in protest left the stadium, and the next match Beitar played with empty stands. And the fans turned on the chairman Korenfine's and captain Harush as they welcomed the fans instead of condemning them.

Dynamo Kiev is another club that has fans known for their racial messages shown in football matches. They have always had a rivalry with Shakhtar Donetsk, and when they played in 2017 the Dynamo Kiev ultras wore KKK masks launching a 'white frenzy' because Shakhtar fielded many black players.

The Dynamo ultras launched a disgraceful racist demonstration, dressing in all white waving white flags. The arrangement that they called 'white frenzy' was planned by the hooligans, they had to wear white just like their team colors but with racist symbols on them, as well they had a huge banner that translated to '100 percent white'
Another racist encounter was in 2013 when they played Shakhtar too, this time they posed next to their opponents bus wearing kkk costumes and holding the white supremacy flag.

Hellas Verona is another team known for its racial chants and banners that they use at matches. Their first ultras were the Brigate Gialloblu was formed at the time of political turmoil. They had a an extreme left ideology until mid 1970 when it shifted to far right. And as the first wave of black players came to Italy, the Brigate started with their attacks, Cagliari's Julio Uribe was thrown a banana directly at him as he went to take the corner kick. But the Brigate dissolved in 1991 followed threats by judges and the media to indict them as criminals.
In 1996 in a derby against Chievo, the Hellas Verona fans put on a spectacle as they hung a black dummy that was tied to the railing where the ultras were,dressed in the Hellas Verona kit, and with a banner reading "Negro, get out of here" this was an imitation of Dutch player Maickel Ferrier who was believed to be on his way to Verona, but after seeing this the deal feel through.

Other racist moments in football matches:

Barcelona was playing against Villareal in La Liga when Barcelona's right back, Dani Alves went to take the corner, Villareal fans threw bananas at him, after it hit the pitch Alves picked it up and took a bite. Villareal later got fined 15,000€ , later on the culprit was found to be David Campaya, who was given a lifetime ban.

Di Canio was a great footballer but had some controversial moments when he played in Serie A, he did the fascist salute on two occasions, against Livorno and Juventus.

Racism is something that UEFA and everybody in football want to put to an end. Political views shouldn't matter when it comes to a match but until this doesn't happen football won't be like it used to be, playing for the game with fans cheering the players not showing off racial banners.
