the VAR clearly didn't work
the world cup 2018 witness the first use of the video to judge the game but still there's already two mistakes making that affect directly the matches of Portugal vs Spain and Croatia vs Nigeria
first the first goal of Spain was a clear foul against Diego Costa ,this mistake could make a lot different ending to the best game so far on the world cup.
second mistake was a penalty that only the ref sees against Nigeria from a usual contact before a corner kick.
with that said i think it's better let the game as simple as possible and not using such a technology will be better for the beautiful game .
I disagree with you on this.
The Costa goal is debatable, it could go any way.
But the Penalty against Nigeria is definitely a penalty, Ekong's hands were all around Mario's body, the defender was so stupid and still didn't leave him till the corner was played and he still didn't leave him till he go to the ground.
Infact, one don't need a VAR for that.
in most of cases referees didn't give penalties for that contact ,but still even with videos they can't judge so it's better to let the game go on .
