I think you might be better off missing out on him. He was pretty crap last season and there's a reason they want rid. That being said, if wages weren't an issue then I guess it could be a risk worth taking because he has looked great in the past.

He's the kind of player that needs others to make sacrifices for him. He's not likely to fit into a rigid system or work hard for the team, he's there for individual flashes of brilliance. Ronaldo's arrival has clearly robbed him of that role and perhaps ruffled his feathers a bit but at £64million then at current market rates he'd represent a risk worth taking and at 25-years-old he is the kind of player Spurs are more likely to sign. The whole Coutinho on loan thing doesn't make sense. I find it highly unlikely that Levy would spend £20million on a player who would not add value to the balance book
