Aguero Matches Player Of The Month Record

Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has equalled the record of highest number of Premier League Player of the Month Award, following his winning the February edition.

The Argentina striker was in spectacular form in February, scoring seven times in four league appearances, taking him to the summit of the scorers log with 18 goals.

The 30-year old former Atletico star joins the likes of former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard and Tottenham's Harry Kane as the only players to have won the Player of the Month Award on six occasions.

City Coach, Pep Guardiola who is rumoured to be next in line for the Juventus job was also named Manager of the Month for February after guiding his team to win all four games in the month which included a 6-0 thumping of Chelsea.

The champions are now back at the summit of the league, ahead of Liverpool who are their closest contenders on goal difference.

Newcastle's Fabian Schar's strike was picked for Goal of the Month, with his wondrous long-range strike against Burnley the pick of the lot.
